Author discourses on the nature of historiography in general--at least as he sees it. He laments what he sees as a tendancy of Mormon historians to leave rules of their discipline when writing Mormon history. He feels that Mormons should separate faith from their discipline in writing Mormon History and not be called heretics when they do. Argues against 'official' history.
