In this article, the Lyons compare the martyrdom accounts of both Willard Richards and John Taylor and the physical evidence from Carthage Jail to detail as accurately as possible the events of June 27 1844. This analysis arrives at some new and interesting conclusions about the sequence of the events of the martyrdom.
