This article focuses more specifically on the use of the concept of a "Rejected Gospel" after the death of the Prophet Joseph Smith. Shepard specifically discusses William B. Thompson, Alpheus Cutler, Granville Hedrick, the RLDS "Josephites," and independent congregations which have recently parted ways with the RLDS church (now the Community of Christ).
