This article describes the challenges faced by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who want to access and connect with Church history but do not live in the United States. Historical records are held in Salt Lake City, and even when these records are available online, the interface is geared toward English speakers. Efforts to decentralize the Church History Department have helped give international saints more access and opportunity to contribute, and further progress is expected to be made.
