"This article highlights the development of the Reid and Richards relationship through an examination of their personal letters and seeks to illuminate the method and approach that Reid and Richards developed together. This article shows how Latter-day Saint leadership and the local efforts were at times cooperative, and also how there were moments of discord within the guiding body of the church on the question of whether Latter-day Saint proselytization efforts should specifically focus on Jews. To reach this end, we highlight the biography of Reid and her friendship with Richards and draw some conclusions about the temporary success and the eventual move away from the program by the church's missionary committee."
