Historian Carol Cornwall Madsen talks about her life. She is one of the foremost scholars in Mormon women's history. She also discusses some events at the IWY 1977 conference, the Historical Department of the Church, the Joseph Fielding Smith Institute at BYU, and the Women's Research Institute, also at BYU, and finally the Mormon Women's History Initiative. She discusses experiences she had with her husband Gordon Madsen when they both were called to the Church's Hosting Committee. She concludes with comments about writing about the life of Emmeline B. Wells.
