October 3, 1906 to March 8, 1908. Larson is called on a mission to Colorado. He travels around the western portion of the state. He spends his days tracting and holding meetings. Occasionally, he visits new members or tends to the sick when typhoid breaks out. Larson is optimistic about his work and the people he meets, often relating the background of his investigators. He is stunned by the unexpected death of his son and daughter. After their children's deaths, his wife comes to Colorado and assists Larson for a time. The diary ends abruptly after a policeman warns the missionaries that laws may be passed against prostelyzing door-to-door.
