Gathering in Harmony : A Saga of Southern Utah Families, Their Roots and Pioneering Heritage, and the Tale of Antone Prince, Sheriff of Washington County

"This book originated in a challenge from my brother Greg almost a decade ago to write a biography of Antone Prince. I wrote it as the soul-enlarging exercise of understanding a world shatteringly different from mine. I have written the book as a series of individual narratives illustrating a Mormon chronology from the earliest days of Mormonism in Missouri, Illinois, and Iowa to the trek across the plains and the settlement in Utah. Although it is the story of a family, it is shaped as an account of Mormon and western American history as experienced by an extended family." [Author]
