A.L.S. Fine letter, dealing, almost certainly, with the Bacon-Shakespeare controversy. "I am too old to enter into such a discussion. I am now nearly 93. . . We ought to be proud that two such great men, great in such different ways, were living in England at the same period. . ." Collier was a critic and Shakespeare scholar. He was also a forger who, like Ireland before him, specialized in fabricating the work of the Bard. Letter inlaid, a portrait accompanies it.
