Published four years earlier than Bradley's famous Mr. Verdant Green, this work is virtually unknown. It is not recorded in C.B.E.L., nor does the biography in the D.N.B. mention it. It is interesting to see that while his real name is used on the title-page of each part, in the last part Bradley signed his etchings with his well-known pseudonym -- Cuthbert Bede. A subscriber's copy with his name and college on each cover. With Carroll Wilson's bookplate.
