PRESENTATION COPY: George Cattermole Esqre from his Admirer the Author. The recipient was the illustrator of Dickens' Master Humphrey's Clock and other books. On the back flyleaf of Volume I is AN ORIGINAL PENCIL DRAWING of a man on horseback. It is undoubtedly by Cattermole. Rookwood is Ainsworth's first independent work and is among the scarcest of his novels. Aside from expected small defects in books in boards, a FINE COPY.
