Vault 820.5 Sa95 1896
Edited by Arthur Symons. With many illustrations by Beardsley, Beerbohm, Condor, Pennell, etc. Complete set of this controversial monthly which was praised and condemned equally. It contains some of Beardsley's finest work, and literary contributions by Shaw, Beerbohm, Conrad and Yeats, to mention only a few. Laid in are the scarce first prospectus, illustrated by Beardsley, which was suppressed for its indelicate drawing; Beardsley's Christmas card, and the Leonard Smithers' slip (Volume VII) announcing the discontinuance of the magazine. There are some cover defects, but generally the set is in very good condition. The box is stained.
