Although the leadership for the woman suffrage movement in Utah was centered in Salt Lake City, grassroots support for the movement came from outlying branches in the state. This article provides information on the nature of the associations outside Salt Lake from records in surviving minutes from associations in Beaver County and Farmington. These records give an indication of the type of women who participated in the suffrage movement, the effect of the movement on the women involved in it, and the influence of the Church.
