Aoy, whose unusual surname prompted an investigation, completed in 1980, that revealed his involvement in the first Spanish translation of the Book of Mormon in the late 19th century. His real name is in questioned in the article. His tombstone records it as O. V. Aoy. The temple work that is apparently his was done with the name Jaime Aoy Olives Vila. Another article refers to him as Olivas Villanoeva Aoy.
