Log-building forms, timber-fitting techniques, and corner-timbering types found in the Sanpete-Sevier valleys of east-central Utah are surveyed and analyzed. These buildings document a significant Scandinavian contribution to local log construction technology. He also contends that traditional historical interpretations of 19th-century Mormon society are generalized to the point of being too simple. The immigrant experience was different for all people.
