The article deals mainly with the financial aspects of the contract Young held with the Union Pacific Railroad to build a section of track in Echo Canyon. The slowness of the Union Pacific in paying its debts to Young and the latter's efforts to get payment are the focus of the article. Author sees a shortage of money and not dishonesty as the prime cause of the payment difficulties.
