Book reviews of Robert Mullen's THE LATTER-DAY SAINTS: THE MORMONS, YESTERDAY AND TODAY and Wallace Turner's THE MORMON ESTABLISHMENT. Reviewer sees both works as reasonably accurate portrayals of contemporary Mormonism. He sees Mullen's theme to be the outward thrust of Mormonism due to stepped up missionary activity. He also sees Mullen's book's greatest contribution to be its coverage of Mormonism in the 20th century. Reviewer feels Turner's book comes close to being a pathological report on the viruses and cancers of Mormonism. He feels that many of Turner's misstatements and misconceptions are due to his failure to check out validity of statements made in interviews.
