The first five chapters give a history of theater for the Latter-day Saints, beginning primarily with Brigham Young. Starting in chapter six and continuing through chapter twenty-three, the author gives overviews of each theater season from 1864 until 1882. The final two chapters offer thoughts about the Opera House, as well as a conclusion to the volume.
