Though there was irrigation in the area earlier than the coming of the Mormons, the Mormons founded community irrigation in this country. Clyde discusses the spread of irrigation from the first effort at City Creek, but spends more time discussing twentieth century irrigation projects, to the 1950s. A very brief overview. Mormon history as such is only incidental in the article.
