In Bradley's opinion, the IWY Conference held in Salt Lake City in 1977 was "the single most significant and most troubling event in Utah women's history." She examines this historical event through forty oral histories conducted with women who attended the conference. Bradley was also an attendee and documents her participation and shares her feelings and opinions of the event. An appendix contains interview questions, Utah IWY Conference voting results, and a summary of pre-Conference recommendations that were discussed and voted on during the Conference.
