"This bibliography is based largely on materials discovered by sending out more than 350 letters to individuals and institutions. The compilation of the reponses of these individuals and institutions forms an important body of primary sources on the history of Mormons in Ohio. Documents and artifacts identified in this article are divided into the following categories: letters; diaries, journals, and reminiscences; country and township records; Kirtland Safety Society and other financial records; miscellaneous documents; National Archives; newspapers; artifacts; varia, esoterica, etcetera.
