In letters written by two of Joseph Smith's sisters in the 1860s, Katharine and Lucy reveal their attitudes toward Brigham Young as Church president, the RLDS church, and their nephew, Joseph Smith, III. One of the letters is written by Lucy's husband, Arthur Millikin, to John Smith. The other letter by Katharine is written to her nephews in Utah: Joseph F., Samuel H.B., and John Smith.
