This article describes the patriarchal structure of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, decrying the patterns of male dominance in the Church's historical and current organization. It suggests that men in all ages and cultures have asserted themselves over women and that the world in general as well as specific institutions (such as the Church) have suffered greatly for it.
