Article begins with a few examples of Mormon dominance/ethnocentricity in Utah. Then it gives background on the events leading up to the saint's move westward. It talks about the persecutions they endured. (Haun's Mill, Gov. Boggs) It also talks about Mormon, Non-Mormon relations in early Utah. Jumping ahead 80 years it discusses relations between Mormons and Gentile since 1976. Swenson goes into great detail about how poorly Gentiles and Mormons alike treat each other in all aspects of life. He ends with a discussion of the efforts being made toimprove relations. Several paragraphs are devoted to Marion D. Hanks, and Emma Lou Thayne.
