In Idaho anti-Mormon sentiment was fueld by the average voter's attitude toward Mormon polygamy. For several years after 1884 no Idaho Mormon could vote, hold office, or serve on a jury. The anti-Mormon laws were changed only after the church authorities in Salt Lake City modified Mormon plural marriage doctrine. Based on Idaho legal records and newspapers.
