Black Images and White Images : The Combustibility of Common Misconceptions
Dialogue : A Journal of Mormon Thought
Discusses white prejudice, black pride, riots, and law and order. Riots have proved to be of positive benefit by shocking the white power structure into realizing that immediate solutions are needed (although riots are destructive of property and dangerous to political institutions). Notes similarities and differences between blacks and Mormons and the problem of assimilation. Mormons need to be concerned about prejudice--their own included--and to attempt to change their attitudes and ideas.
