Biography of David W. Patten, baptized in 1832, an early, bold, and prolific missionary for the church. This biography contains large quotations of several sections of the Doctrine and Covenants. He was known for administering blessings of healing. A staunch defender of the prophet Joseph, he was killed in a battle with a mob in 1838.
