-
Introductions to Mormon Thought

In this biography of Joseph White Musser, Rosetti explicates Musser's marriages, his cosmology, his views on the priesthood, and lays the groundwork to help the reader understand how Musser became the foundation for fundamentalism today. The first section gives personal details about his excommunication, his marriages and his wives, as well as his background. Section two is concerned with alternative histories of the priesthood and authority. The third section is focused on cosmology. The final section concerns Musser's social order and communal living. Because plural marriage is Musser's guiding star, Rosetti is able to trace a cohesive narrative between all chapters.
