This article attempts to clarify the ambiguity of the phrase "on account of a remarkable vision of her father" in Alma 19:16. The author analyzes the grammatical functions of the preposition of in Alma 17-20 and, based on the results, concludes that Abish-- not her father-- was the one who had the vision.
