"This study concerns itself mainly with the text of Isaiah in the Book of Mormon and, more specifically, it is a collation of the Book of Mormon text, the corresponding text in the King James version of the Bible and a modern critical Hebrew text. Most of the text of Isaiah quoted in the Book of Mormon purports to be from the Brass Plates. The inclusion of the King James version in the collation mentioned above is made to help determine to what extent Joseph Smith was dependent on the common version of the bible of his day for the Isaiah material in the Book of Mormon... The collation made in this study will enable the facts to be presented at a glance and help to solve such questions as raised by the above communication. So far as the writer knows there has been no thoroughgoing study of parallel materials in the King James version, the Book of Mormon and the critical Hebrew text." [Author]
