This chapter provides an overview of organizations at the intersection of LGBTQ+ and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, such as Affirmation, Evergreen, and Mormons for Marriage Equality. It discusses their trend of openness toward the Church, failure to find inclusion and common ground, and finally antagonism toward the Church. The author notes the dialogue that has been opened between such groups and the mainstream Church as well as the sympathetic attitudes exhibited by many non-LGBTQ+ members.
