This article examines the Ammonihah narrative in the Book of Mormon, focusing on Alma's reaction to the horrible violence committed against the believing women and children in that city. It speculates on the relationship Alma may have had with people in the city before his conversion and notes the complete lack of teaching about a lake of fire and brimstone after the massacre at Ammonihah. The author suggests that this and other details were careful editoral decisions made by Mormon.
