This article describes the search to discover what Joseph Smith truly looked like in life. It explains the existing evidence, including Joseph's death mask and an oil painting created by a talented artist in Joseph's lifetime. It then tells of a daguerreotype found in a locket owned by the Smith family. While there is much debate about this daguerreotype, the article concludes that it is, in fact, Joseph Smith.
