Testaments: Links Between the Book of Mormon and the Hebrew Bible

"The information discussed in this book clearly shows that the Book of Mormon has strong literary, cultural, and religious ties to the Old Testament. Following the initial chapter, these ties are more or less arranged in the order in which readers encounter the various topics in the Book of Mormon (although most of the topics provide additional examples of the link found in other locations throughout the Book of Mormon). Each chapter comprises an independent essay that can stand on its own. The information presented in this book is by no means exhaustive. As authors whose academic preparation has centered on the Bible and the ancient Near East, we offer information based on our own observations concerning a few of the connections between the Book of Mormon and the Hebrew Bible."
