"The story of Korihor is often cited as an example of how the Book of Mormon can be used to identify the enemies of the Church, as well as a paradigm for how to deal with them. I would suggest that the story itself has much to say about the very nature of such paradigms. Note first the recurrence of words with linguistic connotations : sign, denote, utterance, testify, flattering words, etc. [This article discusses] the role of language in maintaining order and power within a community, and what steps can be taken to counter one who would undermine that order, that language."
