Harris argues that, while Mormonism's principles are accepting, Mormonism's culture is not accepting of Indian heritage. He explains that the teachings of the Church are clear in describing how Indians fit into the history of the Book of Mormon. However, the mormon culture has grown to put pressure on Indians to conform to anglo-Mormon culture, which is harmful and frustrating to him.
