"In this October 2019 BYU address, Anne Snyder provides her observations on the divide between the elite faithful—nostalgic and worried about a “corrupted world”—and an increasingly diverse Christian collective, radiant with hope and new purpose. In a spiritual renaissance, Christianity is exploding in much of the non-Western world. New believers bring passionate faith free of inherited baggage, open to loving regardless of class, race, gender, or religious affiliation. Although some rely on secular influencers and political power to save Christian values, Snyder argues that the true Christlike influence is in bridging differing worlds. If Christianity is to reclaim its collective witness in the West, an all-inclusive alliance must be built, one of honesty, sacrifice, hope, and love." [Publisher]
