"Monte J. Brough took his two sons on a Mongolian safari in 1984 and fell in love with Mongolia. In 1992, Elder Monte ). Brough, then a member of the Quorum of Seventy and serving in the Asia Area presidency, made multiple visits to Mongolia to explore the possibility of providing humanitarian aid and assistance. His efforts allowed The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to send six missionary couples to Mongolia. This article examines the experiences of these early missionary couples and the Ulaanbaatar Mongolia Branch, including the baptism of the first Mongolian converts, until the apostolic dedication of Mongolia by Elder Neal A. Maxwell of the Quorum of the Twelve." [Author]
