For decades, waterfowl posted large rates of reproduction. However, closer to 1915, these populations of birds such as the wild duck, snipe, sanspipers, and others, began seeing large moratility rates due to infections and disease. This report seeks to outline the cause of these drecreasing populations in Great Basin and how the U.S. government is intervining in this cause.
