This article offers a in depth historiography on the influenza pandemic of 1918-1919 that took the life of more then 21 million people. Arrington explains how the influenza virus not only affected the United States over seas during the World War (resulting in about 1/2 of deaths of Americans during the war) and how this virus transitioned into the Great Basin and effected those living in Utah.
