This article provides a short biography of Al Scorup, or "The Mormon Cowboy." Scorup grew up as a member of the Church, and worked as a skillful cattleman to drive cattle long distances. He and his brother Jim were initially successful, but faced many challenges like hunger, thirst, lack of shelter, etc. on their long drives. As they grew older, the business struggled and the brothers dealt with these issues together. Al grew up, married twice, and left a cowboy legacy for his posterity.
