"This article examines the results of the Religious Landscape Study conducted in 2014 by the Pew organization, looking specifically at information related to the questions of who is leaving The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, why they leave, where they go, and what factors seem to contribute to their exodus. The author analyzes such factors as social/political issues, gender, race, age, location, socioeconomic status, marital status, and number of children to determine how these factors contribute to the decision of individuals to leave the faith. His analysis concludes that those who leave are more likely to be divorced, less educated, less wealthy, and more liberal; to have fewer children; to be cohabiting; and to be racial minorities."
