"On the day of the dedication of the Salt Lake Temple, the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints took time out to go to a portrait studio and have their photos taken. The photographers also took photos of crowds lined up outside the temple. The First Presidency were Wilford Woodruff, George Q. Cannon, and Joseph F. Smith.
These photographs are a lasting record of the importance of that day to the Latter-day Saints. This article compiles photographs taken that day that were scattered among various collections, including some for which the date was not known previous to this research." [Publisher]
