This article examines how Ezra Taft Benson adopted particular political views and opinions especially towards Communism. How these views then impacted members of the Mormon church is then considered. Benson's service as a member of the cabinet under President Eisenhower helped to shape his views considerably. This interaction led to a conspiratorial view of the world and political endeavors of world leaders at the time.
