There is a clear tradition in both Protestantism and Catholicism of priesthood being transmitted through the Holy Ghost, as well as a sense of a mutually co-existing ministerial priesthood and a "common priesthood of all the faithful." The Catholic Catechism explains that all faithful communicants participate "each in its own proper way, in the one priesthood of Christ." Other traditions indicate that at least the intent of common priesthood may be traced back to ancient Israel, perhaps even to Adam, and into the pre-earth life. Here, Keogh explores the Holy Ghost's in relation to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' priesthood.
