On April 26, 1844, Orson Pratt and Orson Hyde submitted a draft of a bill to the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary which requested $2,000,000 in government reparations for the expulsion of Church members from Nauvoo. Apparently, the bill was not considered by the U.S. Senate or its Committee and was misfiled. This bill was discovered in February 2015 and first published in this article.
