The article discusses the history of the Park City Miners' Hospital in Park City, Utah. It considers the history of medical treatments and health care in Utah in the latter half of the nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century. Some of the subjects explored include the relationship between both the Catholic and Mormon Churches and hospitals, the mortality rate and general health of miners in Utah, and the health policies of Mining companies in Utah. The Miners' Hospital was established in 1904 through a local initiative, funded largely through direct donations from miners living in Park City.
