Mormon material is an account of the visit of Nancy Towle, a female preacher in the 19th century, and her interviews with Church leaders in Kirtland, including Joseph Smith, Sidney Rigdon, Martin Harris, and William W. Phelps. she give a little of the historical background of Mormonism, i.e., the visit of the angel to Joseph and the discovery and translation of the Book of Mormon and describes the Book of Mormon and its doctrine. The conclusion of the account is her recounting of her interview with the leaders whre they said she would be condemend if she did not accpet the Book of Mormon and she, of course, countercharged. Her evealuation was 'that it was one of the most deep-concerted-plotes of Hell, to deceive the hearts of the simple that had ever come, within the limits of my acquaintance.' p. 142.
