Revisiting William Tyndale, Father of the English Bible
Religious Studies Center, BYU
This article goes through the history of William Tyndale, the first person to translate the New Testament and part of the Old Testament into English from the original Greek and Hebrew texts. Thus, it is important to remember Tyndale's life and legacy when considering the heritage of the King James Bible that is currently used.
