The article discusses the author's confrontation against the continuing temptation of Latter Day Saints to use violence in their quest for the kingdom of God. Topics discussed include the Latter Day Saints' justification of violence through an American culture which is unusually violent, the early Latter Day Saints' participation in increasing violence from 1833 as they were victims of violence after being driven from Jackson County, Missouri and embraced violence as self-defense in 1834.
